YAY - 6 GB of RAM in my 2008 iMac by NilsKeesmekers YAY - 6 GB of RAM in my 2008 iMac by NilsKeesmekers
I have finally upgraded my iMac to the max - it now has 6 GB of DDR2 SODIMM RAM!

Now I can easily run The Sims 3, Photoshop CS5.1 at the same time. :D

The early 2008 iMac supports up to 6 GB, indeed.
I only heard about it last week and I just had to buy another 4 GB stick, haha. It just feels right to have the iMac fully maxed out.

All that's left to do is install a SSD, but I'm not sure if I'd do that.
It's very heard to take an iMac apart, so...

Well, I'm Dutch, so I won't have too much trouble understanding that :P

However, there are tons of how-to's on ifixit.com - including one for the early 2008 iMac [link]
